Hanging Around...

So as previously mentioned, I am on holidays at the moment
Not much is happening...
I returned recently from my brief stint away from home as I went on holidays and returned with my new glorious cold (who gets sick when its this hot???)
Yesterday was really fun though. I spent it with my mates playing the Serenity RPG. It was awesome and we had a good time. Also it allowed them to finally embrace their inner nerd :)
Speaking of nerds, I'm so excited, recently I was invited to my schools High Achivers Camp, which more commonly goes by the title of Nerd Camp! I can't wait. Its going to be awesome. And its basically people from my group of friends, with some exceptions so it should be good.
I went and saw Rush Hour 3 on Tuesday with my sister, and it was so good! I love Jackie Chan! It was really light and what not so I found it quite enjoyable.
I'm doing pretty good these hols because tomorrow I'm going ice skating with two of my best friends so its going to be awesome. Even more so because one of my friends has never even rollerbladed before, so theres going to be some golden moments, but he's got a good sense of humour so it'll all be in good fun.
So I've decided that these holidays I'm going to read lots. I love reading (as I know I've mentioned before) and I don't get to read enough (which I'm sure I've also mentioned before). I'm a bit addicted to buying books and have a tendency to not really read them so they keep building up, with me not having enough time to read and being to stressed yada yada. So I've written out a list of books (theres about 70 by the way) that I am going to read these hols. I'm obviously not going to get through all of them but meh.
I read one today which was awesome. It was by an author called Scott Westerfeld whom I really like. I had read a book called Peeps by him a while ago and loved it but I was a bit disappointed by the ending cause it wasn't really very conclusive, but this book I got on Monday The Last Days was the sequel to it, unbeknownst to me when I bought it, so pleasant surprise there. Yeah, So I finished that today. It was very awesome. And I am now reading Borrowed Light by Anna Fienburg.
I am looking forward to going back to school. I know it is year 12 and so will be really difficult but I think it will also be fun. Too much pressure is put on the students that I think they kind of forget just to enjoy themselves and its not the end of the world if things go wrong. I think I'll just take it one step at a time and with a positive attitude, although that is generally dampened by my friends who are all very cinical. Sometimes I do wish they would just lighten up and have fun, but hey what can you do. I love them all more than anything but I am happy that I have my other friends outside of school from band and other affiliations who are more, well, light I suppose. Its good to just not be so serious sometimes.
