Happy New Year!

...for a little while ago.
How exciting. I'm posting my very first post of the new year. And after a very long unexplicable absense, mostly due to stress and laziness. There were exams and stuff, and I wasn't really bothered to do anything. So sue me.
But now I'm back - sure it may not be for very long, but it'll have to do.
HSC this year and all, exciting stuff. However the Highly Stressed Child, should probably not post ramblings on the net, and rather study instead, but we all have our lapses.
So I'm in holiday mode at the moment which is fun. I just sleep and eat really, but there is the occasional leaving of the house, and much watching of the television.
I have watched so much Buffy, Arrested Development, The West Wing and daytime crap to last me a lifetime. But those first three there are just too good to stop watching so I'll just have to go over that lifetime limit there.
However, I am changed since the last post oh so long ago. I am now - wait for it - employed! Its all very exciting. I am now working for Greater Union Cinemas. And I am loving it.
The job is so good. I just rip tickets at the podium, I walk through the cinemas doing checks - whilst being able to watch bits of the movies, and I clean them afterwards. Its great. Except for the bins. Trust me, put some popcorn and fizzy drink in an otto and leave it in the sun for a while - the smell of that bin juice will stick with you forever.
But the people are all so nice. But I think Pete, one of the floor supervisors thinks I'm a bit crazy. He thinks I'm a perfectionist, just because I like to sweep ALL the bits of popcorn of the floor, rather than what he does, and just miss afew rows. He also forbid me from cleaning the foyer because he thought I was being too uptight about it. But he's alright. Except for the fact he was joking about his licence suspension he got for speeding. So I have no respect for him, but he is rather amusing.
But the best part about the job is the free movies. I'm loving it. And also leeching it for all they've got. I'm supposed to get two free tickets a week, and I've been using like every one of them. I am feeling guilty about it though, because I think they're noticing how much i've been going in. Mostly because I have to ask the manager to write me out a staff pass. Oh well. They're my benefits and I'll use them as I please. So there :)
I am so excited!!! I recently heard about the TV show Gladiators and how it was coming back on and nearly died. I was the biggest fan of that show when it used to be on (which my sister thinks is a little disturbing since I was only about 8 when it was) but anyway, one of my friends got tickets to go in and watch the filming of it in Sydney. Its going to be so awesome. I can't wait.
Then my sister and I also finally bought tickets for Phantom of the Opera, which is going to be awesome.
Wel thats about all I've got for now, its too hot to try and think of anything else. So until next time...
